Who invented character of God,
that supernatural deity of man
always performing on the stage of myth
alone inside the dream world of our minds?
Nowhere in the real world do I find God
performing deeds the ancient myths relate,
so only in the silent words of books
exists this concept that embodies Self.
The more I race through labyrinth of lost tales
in concentric delusions of the Unself,
the closer I come to linear narrative
of the Self I invent in soul of God.
When I look up at clouds to find that God,
defined as Craftsman who designed our world,
I perceive my own face reflected back,
so our universe mirrors the I Am.
