After Bad Things Happen

Why do you always pray up to your God
for him to make things better or heal people
after bad things happen first so they suffer
instead of requesting that he prevent
their pain and death before it all occurs?
What better proof in all this teeming world
could we discover in our search for truth
that God is delusion of desperate people
used by greedy people to maintain power
than fact that God never answers your prayers?
You always pray to your God for his help
after bad things happen to those you love,
but if that God whom you worship exists
he would never allow suffering or death,
so your God is evil, or is not real.

The "problem" with God is that we see God from our perspective as either an infant where God is the Master, or an youth where God is the parent, or an older child where God is the King. Instead we need to realize that as adults God is our Partner. We understand how God "behaves" and we live in harmony with God.
