Our Private Social Role

Our Private Social Role

If the Oval Office in the White House
is occupied by a corrupt evil man,
who acts against the interest of our nation
and tries to steal our wealth for his own gain,
should I allow myself to be corrupt
and violate ethical rules of behavior?

This foolish question is rhetorical
because we common people in the land
should always act according to the law,
to always do the right and honest thing,
regardless of the nature of the person
who manages government of our state.

No matter how much they are good or bad,
performing office of the president
with generous compassion or selfish greed,
we should perform our private social role
with honest intent for good of all people,
since justice for one is justice for all.

The more corrupt the president behaves,
the more virtuous common people should act
to maintain civil system of production,
so gain for one who works with honest faith
is gain for all who share prosperity
of intercourse which builds society.

The more the man in the White House behaves
with corrupt greed to enforce tyranny,
the more we should support democracy
through forceful actions of honest compassion
that will unite all people of the land
in one program of generous interaction.
