We See What We Want

How can I build on facts that I perceive
ontology that presents whole world view
which describes content of our universe
so I can predict what will happen next?
We should construct ontology of truth
based on facts we can measure and describe
so model of the world our brains design
reflects the real world as it is with words.
Yet people pick and choose what they perceive
to narrate how they think things should proceed
that benefits their own success and wealth
instead of seeing the real world as it is.
Through our system of language we design
ideologies that warp how we perceive
the real world of objects performing actions
so we see what we want, not what is real.
We must remove ideological glasses
that distort crucial aspects of reality
so we are not surprised by new events
that catch us unprepared to act with truth.
We must design ontology of truth
that lets us calculate cause and effect
so we can surf the constant waves of change,
adjusting actions to maintain our lives.
