Fracture Of Your Fragile Skies

Fracture Of Your Fragile Skies

You touch the fracture of the fragile skies
to find the wound where the perfect light beams
sorrow no one can see in your blank eyes
revealed in mystery of your silent dreams.

So far away from home you walk alone
in teeming crowd of strangers with no names
who cannot see the crack in your heart stone
beyond glittering glow on the River Thames.

You wonder if all rivers flow alike
from fountain of truth in the lodestar
that wakes you with its sudden joyful strike
to remember its perfect light from afar.

You tell me we are not this mask we wear
so we float together in river flow,
translating words our mothers sang with care
to picture how the world spirit might glow.

Together sitting on the hill of trees,
we gaze at the same sky with different eyes
so you craft lost sorrows on evening breeze
till I see that fracture of your fragile skies.
