The ancient spirits, who will haunt this land
forever since the day they first arrive,
possess our minds with desire to survive
aggressive energy of naive hope
to build paradise in this wilderness
where everyone succeeds who does their best.
Beyond rancid ruins of fallen empires
we explore to find new lands to corrupt
instead of smashing structure of failed way
so we can clear the ground and start anew
to redesign social communities
where people in power apply equal justice.
New social systems that grow from the old
develop more efficient active functions
to address problems the old way ignored
so more people are included in play
composed to maximize productive force
where all are rewarded for what they make.
We generate new energy for life
through active process of urgent creation,
transforming natural matter of the Earth
into constant food-production machine
so after we eat in temple of dreams
we share stories about how we survive.
The heroic figure we most admire
performs great actions where we most feel weak
so their success inspires us to behave
according to strict rules of controlled force
when we apply energy of desire
to evade death and live another day.
We stand before the statue of King David,
which Michelangelo carved from white marble,
and seek to embody its grand ideal
through elegant strength of the healthy body
and performance as bold warrior for justice
to defy evil tyranny of dictators.
With the young shepherd who loves liberty
we aquire stones of justice and respect,
then face the oppressor who exploits people
in fierce rebellion against his blind greed
to free all people from his tyranny
so each soul can pursue their happiness.
Each generation born on spinning Earth
who wants to savor the beauty of life
must exercise courage of honest faith
to fight against tyrants who exploit people
and secure liberty for every person
