Fingers Of The Journalist

Fingers Of The Journalist

The concepts he presents through words he types
so enrage the prince of the desert kingdom
that he leads the gang of twenty strong thugs
who grab him when he enters the consulate,
holding him down while he struggles for freedom,
then cuts off his fingers with the hacksaw.

Men in power always fear the journalists
because they want to control how we live
and exploit us for labor of our hands
without oversight from seekers of truth
so they accuse them of writing fake news
and kill them when they refuse to stop searching.

Only tyrants who tell lies to deceive us,
so they can change rules of the social game
which gives them the advantage to get rich
from the work of our hands in factories,
fear the truth-seeking ways of journalists
for they want to hide their crimes from our eyes.

Whoever is most afraid of the truth
is more corrupt in their clinging to power
so they are the ones we should watch with fear
which gives us strength to resist their corruption
and take away the power of their blind greed
so we free ourselves from their tyranny.

Who will remember the bold journalist
who dared write the truth about men in power,
murdered by those men to silence their mouth
when they cut off their head with blade of fear
and tore their body apart with cruel hands
like Maenads enraged at truth of Orpheus?

We shall gather in the large public square
in every great city where powerful men
obfuscate their corrupt greed with fine speeches
about the value of blind loyalty,
and declare the truth of their selfish deeds
how they exploit the state for their own wealth.

The greatest superhero of all time
whom we value for the strength of his courage
is Superman, the supernatural god
from the distant world destroyed by the greed
of men in power, who works as a journalist
writing to expose deeds of men in power.

Every man who rules their nation with power
needs the mad-eyed prophet of the waste land
to stand before the palace of state pride
and oppose the unbridled exercise
of authority to obtain great wealth
with words from fingers of the journalist.
