Be Both Liberal And Conservative

The experience of failure or success
that each individual human will gain
in obtaining ownership of rich land
when they participate in game of life
determines whether that person decides
to become liberal or conservative.
The person who clings to all they possess,
fortifying their position on private land
to guard their rich source of income from food
against all strangers they consider thieves,
will become conservative in beliefs
to preserve the state of people in power.
The person who loses all they possess,
wandering across land other people claim
to search for new source of income from food
against landowners they consider thieves,
will become much more liberal in beliefs
to reform the state so everyone shares.
Analyze your current state of affairs
and ponder how your political beliefs
are based on whether you own land or not,
which colors how you want to treat poor people,
whether they should die because they are weak
or you should help them because they are weak.
Jesus taught we should give aid to the poor,
that the rich who own land should act as sponsor
to educate the poor with crafting skills
so they can work to create things we need
which builds the infrastructure of our towns
so everyone prospers with well-earned wealth.
Darwin taught how the origin of species
occurs because the strongest and the smartest
obtain more food to eat and breed more children
who compete with each other through contest
to operate better-functioning communities
so more efficient ways of life succeed.
Life is an endless contest between people
who control the land as the source of income
and people who can labor with their hands,
managed by landowners to grow good food,
or produce crafts in well-run factories,
who need each other to generate wealth.
The Smith who digs minerals from the ground,
then smelts them with fire into liquid sunlight,
works as the metal craftsman in the smithy
who transforms rocks into tools and utensils,
pans, plates, cups, knives, swords, nails, wheels, and others,
so he forges foundation of great empires.
Plato defined God as the Demiurgus,
Craftsman who molds material things from Ideas,
so Smiths play god when we transform rich dirt
to build towers, engines, vehicles, planes,
radios, televisions, cameras, and computers
that form metropolitan maze of Smithland.
The Tribal Leader who cares for each person,
who plays ordained in our social functions,
providing education so we learn
crafting skills so we can participate
in our national food-production machine,
fulfills ideal role that Jesus performed.
Will you be small-minded and close your heart
as you cling to weak position of power,
favoring laws that oppress the poor and weak,
or will you broaden your mind with grand vision
and open your heart with generous faith,
favoring laws that support the poor and weak?
We all will die in the process of time
so support the living with generous love
and help them become the best they can be
as we work together to create wealth,
preserving the system producing food
while giving food so everyone may eat.
