Master Race Of Yarthians

Pacing before students in large classroom,
Burk Raymond stops before map of the world,
and ponders history of the nation-state.
Why do we divide continents of dirt
that compose one third of our spinning sphere
into nations with borders of barbed wire
defined by lines we draw on paper maps
based on geographic features like rivers
and ridges of mountain ranges that block
free movements of people across the land?
We organize ourselves in tribal groups
based on common descent from primal fathers
who recede into gleam of divine light
when we transform them into national gods
whose descendants crown themselves noble kings
by claiming divine right to rule the clan
while we multiply many generations
to colonize every productive field
we invade to assimilate their tribes
into one great empire, best on the Earth.
When nations meet they first clash in fierce war
then buy and sell products craftsmen create
then merge into one new nation through marriage,
adopting the best styles of living well
as cultures transform with each generation
to form complex quilt of competing cultures
that influence each other as they change.
How can we preserve thriving local cultures
while networking them in confederacies
organized in global United Nations
that ensures equal justice under law
for every person living in the world
no matter their gender, religion, race,
or affiliation with productive group?
We spread beyond the boundaries of our clans,
exploring outside walls of paradise
to expand perimeter of group knowledge
and experience other cultures of Earth
so we merge our best methods in one way,
like blending the ideograms of Chinese
with the Roman alphabet to combine
all languages of the world in one code.
So the only way Christianity
will survive cultural changes of the world
will be to repudiate their core doctrine
that Jesus is God and will soon return
to raise faithful believers from the dead,
for there is no huge supernatural God
and we all vanish to nothing at death
except when our genes replicate in children.
We humans build puzzles of nation-states
to preserve cultures our fathers designed,
assembling tribes into one global empire
that mixes genes of every tribal group
to generate superhumans from best traits
we developed in hostile environments
producing master race of Yarthians.
Through interbreeding between every race
we will become one global master race
so when demonic aliens from far worlds
invade our globe we can form super army
that will avenge our fragile human species,
protecting us to live free as we wish
even as we evolve into strong angels
we envisioned as gods in ancient myths,
ideals toward which we strive to transform.
Burk Raymond writes across world continents
enormous letters with the scarlet marker
the title Master Race of Yarthians,
then turns and faces the classroom of students
who stare shocked after his strange rambling speech,
but vacate the huge auditorium
to leave him standing mute on empty stage.
