Silver Starless Sea

Silver Starless Sea

The last film I see on cathedral wall
before the world unpuzzles into tales
displays the tragic romance of our life
for turtles and ravens to laugh with glee
while I sit alone in the leaky boat
and sail across the silver starless sea.

The little girl in the peach blossom tree
who plucks the starflower from heart of time
to give me sweet devotion of her heart
falls from moon swan who soars among red clouds
so I catch her fragile soul in my arms
and set her by the silver starless sea.

Just as she reaches out to touch my cheek
six ghost assassins from the desert king
attack with whirling blades of arrogance
so I defend her body against greed
and cast them into pit of howling flames
as she weeps by the silver starless sea.

I give her diamond of ten thousand eyes
which I dug from deep cavern of despair
so she can gaze into eternity
to see first flash of the big bang expand
the White Whole of all souls from the God Eye
who dreams us by the silver starless sea.

Though globe of Earth that spins in void of love
is cluttered now with cities of tall towers,
connected by vast network of paved roads,
I still feel immortal spirit of Elysium
glow bright from solid ground of our desire
as Heaven by the silver starless sea.

I take her hand in mine with gentle care
and dance with her on mountain of peach trees
where crystal shimmer of high waterfalls
swirls sparkling mist of faith around our souls
so when we kiss our souls become one light
that pulses by the silver starless sea.

Before cenotaph of your empty tomb,
old marble tablet I sawed from despair
on which I cannot carve your precious name,
I kneel and whisper prayer from aching heart
that you no longer suffer pain of life
and dwell safe by the silver starless sea.

Soft evening glimmer of the twilight zone,
that pierces my heart when I think of you,
conceals me safe in walls of paradise
where I meditate far from courts of power,
and you read story of our tragic fate
we perform by the silver starless sea.
