I walk with Death because she knows my name
and wants to show me how the stars are born
and teach me how to sing until I die.

I walk with Death who formed my flesh from mud
and filled me with the breath of restless seas
and pulls me back into the soil of Earth.

I walk with Death who flashed my brain with light
of aching stars so I gaze up at night
and long to soar on bright ribbons of flame.

I walk with Death who takes sperm of my mind
and forms new child who dreams with my new eyes
then buries me in roots of apple trees.
