Shadow Of Your Soul © Surazeus 2023 08 03 It might be something in the rain that sparks sweet memories of your eyes black as moonlight. I sit alone with shadow of your soul beneath the apple tree that knows my heart aches to hold your mind in my arms again. I feel your hand in caress of the breeze. I want to call you on the telephone and hear your tale about your busy day. I follow glowing shadow of your soul along the river sparkling in moonlight to find the tree we planted with our hands. I hear your voice in whisper of the breeze. I see your face in children of our hearts who imitate the charming way you laugh. Overwhelmed by hot shadow of your soul I kneel by cool river and splash my face with sudden sense of sorrow you are near. I see your eyes in glimmer of the breeze. I open door to home I built for you and sense your absence in its emptiness. Hot apple pies your hands molded from love no longer simmer on the windowsill so I eat bitter apple of my tears. I taste your tongue in sweetness of the breeze. It might be something in the stars that beam weird memories of your tone calling my name. Still searching for dim shadow of your soul, captured in the dark photo on the wall, I press my face into mist of mute gloom. I dream your soul in radiance of the breeze. We stand together on the ocean shore, ready to begin journey of our love. I lie enwrapped in shadow of your soul, absorbed in memories of your flowing hair as you sew stories into clothes we wear. I sing your soul with ballad of the breeze. We chat about our children and their plans while driving home in thunderstorm of hope. I swell with truth in shadow of your soul till wings of desire unfold from my heart through mutual love we never talk about. I paint your soul with colors of the breeze. Though we both disappear from dream of Earth our spirits wake in children we create. I raise cute clones from shadow of your soul who follow your heart long after you die as incarnation of your timeless love. I free your soul on star wings of the breeze.
