When tender grass hides rugged stone of fear, 
Arnold sings while walking miles of nowhere, 
impulsive passions urging him to search 
demon-haunted valley for empty church 
where his grandfather once held up the book 
and preached selfless love with the holy look. 

Though bones of dead angels litter the road 
on which he journeys with the laughing toad, 
Arnold strides forward against howling wind, 
pressing just enough to spiritually bend 
for fierce erotic force of drive to mate 
with bold defiance at decrees of fate. 

Soft cry of pain through veil of bitter sleet 
guides Arnold forth on lacerated feet 
to kneel in shock at sight of his soulmate 
who lies wounded at the heavenly gate, 
so he cradles her in his trembling arms, 
still enchanted by her elegant charms. 

Attempting to channel beams of starlight 
through pulsing conduit of his psychic might, 
Arnold palms hands to heal her wounded heart, 
but her shattered spirit fractures apart 
in flashing sparkles that swirl in the sky 
to vanish in whirlpool of the God Eye. 

Entombing her disanimated frame 
beneath morbid stones he seals at the seam, 
Arnold stumbles dazed to the castle tower 
where his brother abuses royal power 
kidnapping married women from quaint homes 
so their husbands wander where the wolf roams. 

Striding into court where his brother reigns 
by rendering judgments so he always gains, 
Arnold challenges him with just demand 
to fight for who has right to rule the land, 
then kills the tyrant after bitter fight, 
and weeps victorious in beam of sunlight. 

Kneeling in chapel lit by slanting beams, 
Arnold analyzes truth of what seems 
real in how we perceive process of change, 
then leaves cold castle to walk the range 
where cows graze among trees of lonely peace, 
and considers secret of soul increase. 

Startled by woman who kicks him in the shin, 
Arnold argues with sly intent to win, 
but gazes entranced by her sparkling eyes 
as she demands he dispense with his lies, 
so he helps her milk the cows with respect, 
then asks her to reign as queen of their sect.
