Resurrection Of Caelus © Surazeus 2025 01 01 Startled awake by writhing flames of fire that engulf old wood house is brother built, Caelus slams shoulder against smoking wall, then stumbles as he runs into dark woods, heart beating at screams of his villagers stabbed and speared by invading gang of thieves. Gasping for breath and trembling with despair, Caelus crawls narrow ravine between cliffs of jagged rocks draped in moss from gray mist, then climbs higher in rift between sharp peaks, to hide in cave near sprinkling waterfall where his parents Aether and Dies once lived. Crouching by their skeletons in dark cave, Caelus breathes deeply to calm his wild heart, draped in thick bear-fur cape his mother sewed, then whispers safety spells to hide his soul from gang of thieves who chased him in the woods, shivering at the terror of being enslaved. Surprised at sudden gleaming of green light when the bright moon peeks behind stormy clouds, Caelus steps slowly toward far cavern wall till bright light glitters just before his eyes, so he reaches hand with cautious respect to touch bright emerald stuck inside rock wall. Hacking with iron rod his father found many years ago stuck in river mud, which he used to kill fierce attacking wolves, Caelus breaks rocks loose around bright green gem till he removes enormous slab of light and lays it gleaming on the cavern floor. Binding sharp fragment of the emerald tablet with leather strips to tip of the iron rod, Caelus ventures back through dark tangled woods to village where he grew up building wagons, and gasps to find so many people killed, while the living kneel before the gang chief. Leaping forward with rage of the fierce wolf, as gang chief Stercutus jumps to his feet, Caelus evades several attacking guards and stabs his groin with sharp emerald shard which castrates the storm god who screams in pain and writhes at feet of the victorious boy. Setting his fish clan free from binding ropes, Caelus helps them bury the dead they love, then sits in new wood temple by the lake and sings elegies while he strums the lyre, listing true names and good deeds of the dead while the living mourn their loss and drink wine.

Orpheus sits in large temple to eat roast lamb, and listens while the ancient sage Caelus sings hymn to Minerva who helped him defeat the gang of thieves.
