Unseen Mystery Of Flight © Surazeus 2025 01 09 While fixing the tires on his mountain bike, Brian glances up at the raven caw, but cannot see the black shadow of death which must be lurking in the chestnut tree. "If I listen with the ears of my heart I can hear the house walls sing about flight." Biking along the pebbled country road past fields enclosed by fences of barbed wire, Brian feels the world tilt into the light that reveals the unseen mystery of flight. "The ravens always seem to know my name and where I will go before I go there." Cupping his hands in the bright waterfall, Brian feels his eyes become morning rain so he twirls slowly in freedom of green as he extends his hands up to the sky. "I cannot reach world my ancestors built for I am brief splash of life on this Earth." Caressing softness of moss on old stone, that shimmers with billions of years of light more solid that memories of conscious minds, Brian tastes gleeful longing to fly high. "I careen on destiny of my choice as wingless angel of the cluttered world." Barreling his bike along muddy trails deep in haunted forest of chestnut ghosts, Brian tries to translate songs of wild birds to find sacred truth in scriptures unread. "If I were advisor to the world king, I would insist that justice be more fair." Emerging from dense forest country road, free as the raven soaring among clouds, Brian swerves with elegant curve in time to avoid getting hit by the dump truck. "Raven of Death, with your black divine wings, I think you tried to distract me with hope." Arriving at the house where Charlotte lives, Brian stands before the infinite door that leads anywhere in the multiverse, then smiles when she appears in weird sunlight. "I would like to ride mountain trails with you to explore strange beauty of this old world." Biking together to the mountain meadow, Brian and Charlotte relax by the stream to eat picnic of pears, bread, cheese, and wine, and he plays guitar while she sings folk ballads. "How many mountains must one couple climb before they share true love and transcend time?"
