Sun gleams through the old tree heavy with pears 
on soft gold fur of small kangaroo mouse 
that nibbles Amanita mushroom stem, 
but scurries away when girl with green eyes 
emerges from pool of algae and mud, 
water streaming down her face and long hair. 

Sloshing from the pool on quick nimble legs, 
Tellus stretches naked in warm sunlight, 
then drapes herself with cape of wolf-skin fur, 
and strides through pear orchard of chirping birds 
along river of croaking toads and turtles 
to grove where herd of deer graze on lush grass. 

Climbing up steep slope of the large round mound 
past three levels of deep enfortressed moats, 
Tellus shows gold token stamped with her face 
to pass through each heavily guarded gate, 
then sits on highest platform in round tholos 
where she eats pears and cheese on slice of bread. 

Gazing from round tholos on temple mound 
over fields of wheat and meadows of sheep, 
Tellus surveys village of busy people 
within pomerium of her watchful eye 
to confirm everyone performs their role 
as social manager of her estate.

actions people in the village perform 
to adjust attitude of any person 
who dares stray from duty of assigned role 
with punishment they obey to avoid. 

If any person strays from assigned role, 
from laziness or lack of discipline, 
Tellus sends agent of her regal will 
to encourage them with stern reprimand 
to maintain focus of attentive care 
so they are prepared if gangsters attack. 

When the sun sets blazing behind far hills, 
guards keep watch on ramparts of secure faith 
while everyone gathers around her tholos 
and eats food while she recites Astrogenia, 
song describing how Sun Mother Solaria 
creates our world Telluria from light.
