we measure landscape of our universe 
and build ontology that defines how 
atoms compose our thick bodies from light 
when sunrays spark energy to grow fruit 
so we eat the sun and rain with each bite." 

Wearing tutu and pointe pink shoes of hope, 
Allison twirls in spotlight on the stage, 
performing role of Atom in the show 
depicting how our universe transformed 
from first flash of the big bang to flare forth 
into galaxies of worlds birthing souls. 

"Our bodies are composed of pulsing spheres, 
undivided by observant concern, 
that form foundation of quick molecules 
swirling around each other into shapes 
of vibrant networks threading neural nodes 
in brains which conjure virtual world of dream." 

Gliding with expressive quickness of steps 
in curving flow of hope around the stage, 
Allison the Atom Princess of Light 
leaps up from surface of our spinning globe 
with unseen angel wings of spirit flight 
to prove physical fact of gravity. 

Forgetting she is not an angel with wings, 
Allison tries to escape weight of life, 
and lands just wrong so she twists her left foot, 
breaking her ankle and faith in success, 
so she crumples into heap on the stage 
and sprawls into agony of surprise. 

Lying prone in cloud-soft hospital bed, 
Allison cries with anguish of despair 
that she can no longer dance on the stage, 
nor even walk on garden path of flowers, 
so she tightly closes her sky-blue eyes 
and searches for her virtual world of dream. 

"Because atoms comprise structure of bones, 
my body provides material from food 
with calcium I consume, like milk and fish, 
to quickly repair matrix of its form 
which will allow me to rise from this grave 
and dance again with spirit of the wind." 

Once bones and ligaments heal in eight weeks, 
Allison steps on stage with trembling heart 
in pink pointe shoes of hope to dance again, 
but each time she choreographs ballet steps 
she cannot perform with elegant grace, 
so she sits on the river shore and sings.
