Alice In Wonderland © Surazeus 2025 01 05 After Darrick punches her face again because she asks for money to pay bills instead of him spending it to buy guns, Alice packs her clothes and books in her bag, then stops outside in the cold snowy night to stare at twisted oak branch in the snow. The large branch that fell from the old oak tree lies twisted upright in three-day-old snow, limbs glowing in stark glare of the street light on the telephone pole with power lines where no electric god hangs crucified, so she laughs and declares, "I am that branch." Driving quick van on roads paved with old snow away from town where she lived all her life, Alice peers at distant indifferent hills bristling with bare trees that discuss her pain, so she sings Where Have All the Flowers Gone with aching voice that could make hard stones cry. Adjusting eye-phone on the dash, she talks about difficult decision to leave abusive husband in the house he rules, then explore the world and find her true self, guarding secret shard of her shattered soul so she can reassemble her pure core. "With this video diary about my quest I will document journey of my heart after escaping prison of his fear to heal my soul wounded by his abuse while I explore from sea to shining sea, curious as shy Alice in Wonderland." Driving from Maryland across the land west to follow the sun across the sky, Alice films her trips to national parks where she hikes haunted-forest mountain trails, half expecting to meet satyrs and nymphs gathered to play around secret hot springs. Thousands of women all across the land who watch shows of her quest to find herself, share their similar stories of abuse, praising her decision to leave the creep, then donate money for her travel fund to support her courage to live her life. While driving in mountains of Oregon, deep in pine woods along the signless road, her van sprouts swan wings of innocent faith so she soars into the sky above Earth and drives to Heaven on the diamond road where she plays lyre and sings with Mercury.
