If I spend all day in the twilight zone, 
chatting with God on the red telephone, 
I might soon comprehend eternity 
that radiates from star of sublimity 
contained in sentences of songs I sing 
while attempting to sew my soul-flight wing. 

Stuck going nowhere on the signless road 
in search to find hypnotic buddha toad, 
I build another house with dragon bones 
to raise new generation of brain clones 
who perform their role in the game of life 
where we succeed by overcoming strife. 

I always take the road less traveled by 
to investigate the real reason why 
our bodies are composed of molecules 
that flash alive with psychic chemicals 
through competition to control the world 
in wealth game designed by the cosmic herald. 

I think I wandered past the Promised Land 
when I decided to join the rock band 
because I sing the same songs every night 
while leaping around in the flashing light 
to entertain people from factories 
who labor mute in the maze of dream keys. 

While riding home from fighting in the war 
to embrace his loving wife in the door, 
he gets thrown from the horse and breaks his back 
where he stares at Heaven through cosmic crack 
till the farmer finds his bones by the road
