who chooses economic certainty 
over magic-impulsive state of mind, 
the woman who frames stories of true love 
gives everything her father owns away 
till she has nothing but the signless road. 

Still roaming the unfenced meadow of flowers 
twenty thousand years after she was born, 
the woman who loves to cook apple pies 
ignores the man in her vicinity 
who tends garden of her lost memories 
while binding sunlight in the pageless book. 

Imaginary playmate of her faith 
tells her about the busy avenue 
where people walk into the sunset glow 
after their parents die from innocence 
at second coming of Odysseus 
who washes blood of gods from palace walls. 

Our overworked teacher leaps in the sky 
and flies on scientific wings of gods 
to find the land where angels gamble truth 
to understand weird riddle of the clown 
who hides his spirit in the telephone 
hoping to escape from the Promised Land. 

Startled by ancient wisdom of the fool, 
the woman who loves to build satellites 
stares at the antique spacesuit in glass case 
with skeleton of Icarus still inside, 
then asks her daughter if she understands 
how to read the fake writing on the wall. 

The gold bell radiating in the sky 
vibrates with cosmic voice of Lucifer 
who gives the woman on the prancing horse 
new instrument of volatile respect 
that reveals how religion programs brains 
of humans to believe in fantasies. 

While her body absorbs psychic moonlight 
with helpless passion through publicity, 
the woman with clear luminescent eyes 
embraces mountain machine of my heart 
so we exchange warm waves of energy 
to grow new scientific wings of gods. 

Evading observation of the crowd 
with mission to ignore social awards 
for dutiful accomplishments of trust, 
the woman who contains soul multitudes 
delivers unheeded message that we 
should love everyone, though none loves us back.
