Marble Statue Of Orpheus © Surazeus 2025 10 01 This meaningless hour of unsinging thought disturbs calm surface of the universe with wretched respect of honorable faith that tears pristine fabric of time and space from tears that stain the most beautiful face while boulders tumble down the mountain slope. Sad how wild children of the broken road decide not to build their new city maze beside the tumbling river of contempt because if they could organize their plans they would conquer all empires of the world to unionize rival gangs in one state. Yet the more the tyrant tries to control how we assemble facts in grand world view, the more we construct new theologies that clash in fierce conceptual war of truths till all our stories tangle strands of fate in one great tragedy of fractured faith. So I stare at calm surface of the pond with vain hope to perceive the face of God reflected back at me from depths of doom, though I decode my calculated plan with strangled formulas of social games for which no winners are ever declared. Still lost in never-ending maze of myths, I try to repair with gold as the glue the broken idol of each nameless god once worshipped by millions of breathing souls whose voices dissipate in winter winds that whistle wistfully around brick walls. Too many idols of forgotten gods lie strewn in fragments on the holy ground where archaeologists search through lies to find the simple beauty of each life, which they performed while blood fueled their hopes, preserved in records by the tongueless clown. With every hour that flashes through my eyes I reinvent same meaning for my life as lamp to guide my journey in the dark where I still hope to find the magic ring that renders me invisible to Death so I can find the hymn-praised Promised Land. Stuck somewhere in the endless maze of myths, with book and pen to write tale of my quest, I stare at marble statue of Orpheus to understand true nature of his love for sweet Ophelia floating in the stream who journeys west with flowers in her hair.
