Jester Of The Greedy King © Surazeus 2025 09 01 Beneath soft laughter of the maple tree we try to discover meaning of life encased in fragile stones of river beds disguised as Grecian statues of the mind, so we hide honesty in gloom of faith with impossible light of time-bound hearts. Though our brains are full of arrogant gods that mirror those trapped in conceptual stars, we walk together in the maze of myths with project to dismantle attitudes that fool some fearful people to believe they are much better than the rest of us. Though honesty of the writer is praised yet they freeze in cold house of poverty when snow suffocates the world in despair as they write bitter truth about the world with the swan-feather quill on fragile page that would keep them warm burned in the stone hearth. My brain orbits the Earth faster than light that splits metallic symbol of my heart with subtle reference to the puzzling code which penetrates obscure frame of the weird, inscrutable hex designed by the ghost to misdirect attention of the sleuth. The father kneels before the weeping child with calm compassion of the basilisk, inspired by jester of the greedy king to teach him prayer that soothes the frantic heart, but he hears no one ever answer back despite his fervent obsession with faith. Lost-distance search of the desperate devil shrinks long unspooling road of botched abuse with stark compression unraveling truth through sacred bloodline of the holy grail from which I drink communion wine of rage with lavish promise of the howling owl. Uncanny promise of enduring faith compressed at core of music by despair reveals happy ending of fairytales despised by children of the bloody moon who throw gold balls at engine of the car that hangs upside down from the Tree of Lies. Through dull condition of the afterlife we lounge without concern of refugees in deserted palace of the mad king who burns the holy books of bitter gods while drinking communion wine at eclipse that erases our bodies from the world.
