in search for pollen of the fertile sun 
which fills my beating heart with angst of love 
that we are fleeting specimens of hope

who lead me through dark Mirkwood of despair 
in search for Holy Grail of soul rebirth 
which Melusine dips in deep water well 
to teach me secret of mind-bending Runes 
which I employ to build Empire of Faith. 

I follow sacred way of minotaurs 
who guide me in time-shifting maze of myths 
in search for idol of messiah sleuth 
who still investigates who murdered God 
while teaching me how to heal broken hearts 
by strumming spells on lyre of Mercury.

in search for noble son of Ashtoreth 
to reign on one-eyed pyramid of power

in fraught election for King of the Earth.

who carry burden of the star-eyed seer

so we time-jump to evade scythe of Death 
by piloting airplane of Icarus 
to bomb Garden of Eden in world war.

who gather in senate chamber of fear 
in search for principles of governance 
when King Midas steals crown of thorns from Christ 
to prance around with chest puffed up in pride 
till the Pied Piper collects what he owes. 

I follow sacred way of dinosaurs 
who crown Godzilla Emperor of Earth 
in search for jeweled gates of Paradise 
till David wields long lost Excalibur 
and knocks Goliath off his hobby horse 
for thousand-year reign of the Cosmic Herald.
