Memories My Body Preserves © Surazeus 2023 01 03 Because night knows the sorrow of my heart I walk with consciousness of ancient stars to love the nothingness of dreamless night till I wake startled at the words I speak which reinvent the world with morning light described with memories my body preserves. My fragile body woven from night gloom preserves strange visions of the world I see in awkward stories I forget to tell about encounters I fail to perform in conflict with dark shadow of my mind defined by memories my body preserves. Though I know little of the timeless night, except for speculations through desire that guide my random journey anywhere, night knows everything about my mute hope so she explains the nothing I become designed from memories my body preserves. Beyond immense void of long centuries I walk with consciousness of new-born stars to drink nutritious blood of nothingness which blossoms into thoughts contained by words based on delirious beauty of our love outlined with memories my body preserves. If tangled sentences of writhing words weave undulating matrix of my brain with visions of ideal material forms I wake from nothingness of thingless night to see the same world I saw yesterday expressed by memories my body preserves. When I strike stones of arrogant desire sparks flashed from pulsing eyeball of the sun erupt in flames that flicker in the hearth so I boil worts and herbs in luscious stew which fills me with passionate ache of joy contained in memories my body preserves. Each sun-defined object my eyes perceive, which exists in limits of time and space, shimmers with changing flux of chemicals so I invent with breath across my tongue words that describe true nature of their being dispelled by memories my body preserves. Scene of the river on the windy plain, which disappears in shadow of dark night, glows bright in visions of my dreaming eyes so I compose coherent narrative that broadcasts my life myth I choose to tell consigned to memories my body preserves.
